Russ Jackson

Russ Jackson is Vice President, Corporate Communications, for the United Rail Passenger Alliance.
Russ is the Secretary, and a founding member, of the Rail Passenger Association of California (RailPAC), the largest and most active rail passenger advocacy group in that state, and regularly attends and reports on state rail meetings of the San Joaquin, Coast Rail, and Capitol Corridors.
In 1990 Russ took over as sole editor and publisher of the Western Rail Passenger Review, expanding its reach from a quarterly publication to the status it has now of being a monthly newsletter devoted to national, western and state rail passenger issues. With the assistance of URPA’s Bill Lindley, he developed the website for RailPAC, www.railpac.org, and continues to provide the material for its monthly updates. He retired from editing the Review in December, 2003.
After 30 years as a radio broadcaster and educator, Russ ended his work career by retiring from Palomar College, San Marcos, CA. Many of his former students are active in radio and television throughout the country. He has bachelors and masters degrees in business from the University of Arizona, Tucson.
